The newspaper for Alameda California recently ran a front-page photograph of people feeding domestic rabbits than run free on the old Navy Base, with a caption referring to "other wild animals" in the town, including raccoons, hawks, and opposums. If only people understood that domestic rabbits aren't wild rabbits and often die from predators, starvation, or infections...
